Key Features. Giving your Jeep Wrangler a little nicer look doesn't have to involve dropping a ton of money, because details like these Rugged Ridge Mirror Covers add a high-end appearance. They're super simple to install and last for a long time, plus fit so perfectly people likely can't tell they're covers. The chrome coating disguises the fact that the caps are plastic, and they won't fade after sitting in direct sunlight every day. Even after messy trail runs, these covers clean up nicely, so they're practical for everyday life.

Construction. Thanks to the rugged ABS plastic construction, you can install these Mirror Covers and not have to worry about them hodling up under rigorous use, just like the stock caps. A UV treatment guards against damage from the sun. The chrome finish is able to endure exposure to the elements, including plenty of mud and dirt you no doubt will encounter. Both caps were designed to fit the stock mirrors snugly, avoiding ugly gaps, so you get a custom appearance. The double-sided tape that's included is automotive grade, meaning it works in extreme temperatures.

Installation. Plan on about an hour or so for installation. You won't need tools, even basic ones, but you will need cleaning supplies. The process starts with cleaning the mirror caps entirely, becasue any kind of dirt, etc. that's left on the plastic can cause the tape to not stick completely. Use a microfiber cloth to ensure the caps are not only clean but also dry, and free of lint. It's wise to try out the covers on the side mirrors before you peel off the protective strips from the tape, so you know how everything's supposed to fit. Once you do install the covers, hold them against the mirrors firmly for a minute or so, helping the tape to stick properly. Avoid any blows to the mirrors for the first 24 hours after installation.
